Fake Anti-Virus Alerts
Are you suddenly getting pop-up alerts stating that you have a virus?  One of the most prevalent infections for the last year has been something called Rogue Anti-Virus programs.  Once your system is infected with one of these you will experience the following:
- Constant Pop-Ups stating you are infected
- You are required to purchase a program to remove the viruses
- Slowing of system performance
- Slower internet connection

There are several variations of this program the most common of which is Anti-Virus 2009.  It can also show up as Norton 360, Perfect Defender, MS Anti-Virus, and dozens more.

You do have an infection, but it is this program!  There are probably other issues with your system, but this is the main one.

DO NOT PURCHASE THE PROGRAM!!

People who have purchased the program have had critical Windows system files deleted from their system resulting in a complete re-install of Windows and the loss of all their files.

GoFetchComputers has removed dozens of these from infected systems without loss of files.  In extreme cases a complete system reinstall was required, but important files were back-up and restored to the clean system.

If you think you have been infected by this please call us so we can advise you of your options.
