Fake Anti-Virus Alerts

Are you suddenly getting pop-up alerts stating that you have a virus?  One of the most prevalent infections for the last year has been something called Rogue Anti-Virus programs.  Once your system is infected with one of these you will experience the following: - Constant Pop-Ups stating you are infected - You are required to purchase a program to remove the viruses - Slowing of system performance - Slower internet connection There are several variations of this program the most common of which is Anti-Virus 2009.  It can also show up as Norton 360, Perfect Defender, MS Anti-Virus, and dozens more. People who have purchased the program have had critical Windows system files deleted from their system resulting in a complete re-install of Windows and the loss of all their files.
